The advertised fares include taxes and fees, however it does not include advance seat assignment, which can be purchased for an additional charge. Avelo Airlines operates a fleet of Boeing 737-800 aircraft that accommodates 189 passengers, and Boeing 737-700 that accommodates 147 passengers, according to the airline.

Avelo Airlines, which serves 47 destinations in 25 states, has been in growth phase over the last several months, from announcing a new expansion and base in Las Vegas, and a new flight route between southern Connecticut to San Juan, Puerto Rico that takes off this fall.

This Low-cost Airline Is Launching the First Nonstop Flight Between Puerto Rico and Delaware

The new Avelo Airlines flight will launch on Nov. 15.

Avelo Airlines will launch flights to Puerto Rico from Delaware this fall, expanding its presence in the state. It will be the first carrier to offer nonstop flights to destinations outside the continental United States from the state.

The new flight, which will launch from Wilmington International Airport (ILM) on Nov. 15, will fly to San Juan’s Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) on Wednesdays and Saturdays, according to Avelo. It will operate on a Boeing Next-Generation 737-800 aircraft.

“Since taking flight in February, more than 125,000 customers have discovered the magical convenience, reliability, and affordability of flying Avelo at Greater Philly’s most travel-friendly airport — Wilmington Airport,” Andrew Levy, Avelo Airlines’ chairman and CEO, said in a statement obtained “Today’s historic service expansion is the latest example of the smooth and seamless travel experience Avelo is bringing to the four-state Delaware Valley region.”

The airline, which launched in 2021, first started flying out of Delaware to Florida earlier this year, bringing commercial flights back to the state after a temporary drought with none.

“We are grateful that Avelo will be expanding service once again here in Delaware,” the state’s Gov. John Carney said in the statement. “We are excited to welcome more visitors to the First State and give our residents additional affordable and convenient travel opportunities.”

Last week, the low-cost carrier announced its first-ever flights to Puerto Rico (and its first-ever Caribbean destination) from Connecticut. That flight will also launch on Nov. 15. In addition to the Puerto Rico route, Avelo will also start flying nonstop from Wilmington, Delaware, to Sarasota, Florida, on Nov. 2.

With the new routes, Avelo will serve 47 different destinations across 25 states and Puerto Rico.

To celebrate its new routes, Avelo is offering one-way flights from Wilmington to San Juan starting at just $99 and offering one-way flights to Sarasota starting at just $49. To take advantage, travelers must book their San Juan flights by Aug. 14 and book their Sarasota flights by Aug. 22 — and travel by Feb. 14, 2024.

Starting Sept. 22, Breeze will launch flights between Orlando and New Orleans, and between New Orleans and Tulsa, OK, on Mondays and Fridays, the airline shared with us Then on Oct. 4, Breeze will add flights between Tampa and Charleston, WV, on Wednesdays and Saturdays; on Oct. 5, the airline will add a new nonstop route between Tampa and Pittsburgh on Thursdays and Sundays; and on Oct. 6, the airline will add flights between Tampa and Columbus, OH, on Mondays and Fridays.

To celebrate the new routes, the low-cost airline is offering one-way flights starting at just $39. To take advantage, flights must be booked by 11:59 p.m. ET on July 3 for travel by Jan. 8, 2024.

Each of the new routes will be operated on Breeze’s fleet of Airbus A220-300 aircraft.

Breeze was first created in 2021 by former JetBlue founder Neeleman and has been rapidly expanding since, adding new cities and new routes across the country.

The airline offers travelers the choice of three fare options: “Nice,” “Nicer,” and “Nicest,” which includes the company’s recently-announced Breeze Ascent. Travelers who book Breeze Ascent can bring two checked bags and will receive complimentary snacks and beverages, including alcohol, as well as have access to in-seat AC power and USB and USB-C charging ports. 

The airline currently flies both Embraer 190/195 aircraft and Airbus A220-300 aircraft (and has ordered dozens more).

Breeze also doesn’t charge change or cancellation fees up to 15 minutes before departure.

Breeze Is Celebrating 2 New Routes to Florida With Flights for As Low As $59 — When to Book

The low-cost airline will be flying to Florida from Plattsburgh, New York and Portland, Maine.

Low-cost airline Breeze Airways is adding two new routes to Florida this fall, adding to its robust service to the Sunshine State.

Starting on Nov. 15, the airline will launch brand-new seasonal service from Portland, Maine, The new route will operate during the winter and spring on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Then on Nov. 28, the airline will launch service from Plattsburgh, New York, to Orlando. That flight will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Plattsburgh sits just south of the Canadian border and about 60 miles from Montreal.

“Plattsburgh becomes our fourth airport in New York State, but the first with a large international appeal,” Tom Doxey, Breeze Airways’ president, said in a statement provided , adding “With our expansion in Florida, Breeze now offers the most Florida destinations from six cities in our network.”

With the new routes, Breeze will now serve seven different destinations in Florida: Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Orlando, Sarasota/Bradenton, Tampa, Vero Beach, and West Palm Beach. In total, the airline is adding 19 new routes to Florida within the next two months.

To celebrate the new flights, travel from Portland to Fort Myers starts at just $89 one-way and travel from Plattsburgh to Orlando starts at just $59 one-way. To take advantage of the promotion, flights must be booked by 11:59 p.m. ET on Sept. 18 and are valid for travel through April 30, 2024.

With the addition of the new routes, Breeze will now launch 21 different routes to Florida from September through December. The airline’s Student Loan Mile Match will award the lucky winners the amount of student debt they have in the form of miles, up to 100,000. For example, if someone has $50,000 in debt, they would receive 50,000 Frontier Airlines Miles.

“The larger the debt, the bigger the promotional mile payout, which can be used for free flights,” Frontier shared in a news release about the contest. 

The contest, which is open now through Aug. 27, is open to residents of the United States except for those in New York, Florida, and the District of Columbia.

For travelers feeling lucky, Frontier is running another contest called “The Ultimate Las Vegas Getaway” which includes six round-trip tickets to Las Vegas, and a two night stay at the STRAT Hotel Casino & Tower. The Las Vegas contest ends on Aug. 25.
