“Houston Airport Briefly Shut Down After United Flight Reports Engine Fire”

A United Airlines flight from Houston to Cincinnati was forced to make an emergency landing shortly after takeoff due to a possible engine fire. The incident occurred on Monday, March 28th, and involved United Flight 1118, which had 174 passengers and six crew members on board.

The plane returned to George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, where emergency personnel were waiting. Passengers reported seeing smoke and flames coming from the engine during the flight, which prompted the emergency landing.
